Fursuit Portrait Paint Off
My Show, called "Where the Wild Things Are"
will be
November 12, 2006 -6p,-at BRAVO Katendrechtsestraat 118
Rotterdam 3072, NL

This opening will include the first-ever (so far as i know)
>>>>FURSUIT PORTRAIT PAINT-OFF<<<<.

What the hell is that you ask?

Three Fursuiters (including Dukefawks, Kwisa and TD_Fox) will pose while three or more painters, including me, paint pictures of them live before the audience. To be followed by a fursuit optional dance party-- everyone is invited.

There will also be- a screening of some documentaries by a couple of british artists from down the street, soup, the usual interesting crowd of interesting scruffy-looking artist types and, most importantly, (to me) My paintings of Cake, Stripe, a teddy bear and a raccoon. This is a great chance for the artworld and the furry world to come together-- come on out and REPRESENT!

THIS JUST IN
the paint off, like the revolution, will not be televised. Howerver it will be streamed
HERE: http://www.wirelesswokworld.nl at 6PM Rotterdam Time on sunday the 12th check it out!

Oh Geez, Once again I am jealous of Dukefawks. Sounds like a great time, and I really wish I could be in on something like that myself. Be sure to post some pictures afterwards please.

That's a great idea! I just saw one of the paintings in [info]dukefawks' journal, and really liked it. :) Out of curiosity, do you know whether it's possible to download the webcast somewhere now?

unfortunately, no there is no recording of it from the webcast- the arts foundation that allowed us to use thier technology to do the webcast is in the middle of developing said technology and the 'record' feature is something they are building in later. The program is called "red 5".... nice to know that technologists are starwars nerds in the neatherlands just like we are back in the states. There were, however other people videotaping and i hope to get word from them when those videos are edited. In the meantime you can see still photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/89013128@N00/sets/72157594373485918/
